2nd WCSA Open World Outdoor Target Crossbow Championships - 2005
Preliminary details are now available for the 2nd WCSA Open World Outdoor Crossbow Championships which will be held in The Archery Centre Shooting Complex, Whiteman Park, Perth, Western Australia. The dates are 24 - 31 October 2005.
Competitors
in the World Crossbow Championships are also invited to shoot in the
Archery Society of Western Australia's Target Championships which
will be held on Sunday 23 October in the same location. More details
later.

Championships will be held in Perth, Western Australia are 24-31
October 2005. The events will be Target, Target Matchplay and Forest
(Field). More
details regarding competition and other activities will be released
soon.

62nd New Zealand National Archery Championships
We
apologise for the delay in letting you know, but it is not too late
to register for the coming New Zealand National Archery
Championships. They will be held at St Peter's School, Cambridge, New
Zealand 1 - 8 January 2005. Crossbow competition is available
for Target, Field and Clout. Contact Tony or Nell Kemp (email:

as soon as possible for further details. Closing date is 30 November,
so don't delay.

Venue for 2nd WCSA Open World Crossbow Championships
We thank the Archery Society of Western Australia (Archery Australia) for their kind offer to host this event at Whiteman Park, Perth, Western Australia. The tentative dates are 10-23 October 2005. (NOTE A CHANGE IN DATES)
Events will include Target, Target Matchplay, Forest and possibly 3D (to be confirmed). Futher details will be advised as soon as they have been confirmed.
Acting President of IAU
We extend best wishes to Madam Pearl Bin Ho who is acting in the position of IAU President. We also wish her a speedy recovery from her illness.
Calendar details for 2005 and beyond
We ask all member Federations to provide their shooting calendar details as soon as possible so that we can include them on our website.
Change of Venue for 2nd Open World Crossbow Championships
It has become necessary to change the date and venue for the 2005 Open World Crossbow Championships, previously planned for Townsvillle, North Queensland, Australia. Negotiations are underway to hold the event in either Perth Western Australia or in South Australia. Members will be advised as soon as details are available.

Results from 2004 US National Crossbow Championships
The US National Field (Target)
Crossbow Championships were held in Reading, Pennsylvania, on July
26th-29th.
Congratulations to Carole Pelosi who won the Ladies' event and Bill

various reasons it has been decided not to proceed with the WCSA
European Championships that were planned for Portugal. Members are
still welcome to participate in a friendly competition to be hosted

We welcome the National Unie Kruisboogschutters Van Belgie (National Union of Crossbow Shooters Belgium) to the WCSA family. There are now 16 national federations.
International 1st WCSA Open Indoor Postal Results
Results have been released by Portgual for the Indoor Postal competition run October-December 2003. Full results will be put on the website as soon as possible.

Passing of General Henrique Godinho, Portugal
Dear All,
With great sadness, we let you know that our President, General Henrique Godinho, passed away today, January 30th, following a short period of illness.
All who knew Godinho know that, with his death, we loose not only a highly valuable member of our Federation, but also a very good friend and a honorable and hardworking personality.
The memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 31st, in Lisbon.
Those who wish to pay their last tribute to Godinho may send their expressions of sympathy either by e-mail to his son Nuno Godinho nuno.godinho@bsnp.pt or by mail to his widow
