The World Crossbow Shooting Association Inc. (WCSA) currently maintains 3 types of records.

• World Records: Which may be shot at anytime of the year at a WCSA sanctioned event.

• World Championship Records: Which can only be shot at a WCSA World Championship

• Regional Records: Records shot for a particular region. ie European or Oceania records.
